The Instructors
Sensei Mick Slider: Celebrating fifty years in the martial arts, Sensei Slider, the founder of THE DOJO, is a former US Army Airborne Ranger
and has been a student of the Martial Arts since 1958. Having studied
traditional Martial Arts forms in Okinawa, Japan, Korea and the United
States, Mr. Slider has been teaching these forms, as well as others,
since 1963.
Sensei Slider brings vast experience and
dedication to the study of the Martial Arts. He sees the arts not as
recreation or sport, but as a way of life. Serious students will
benefit greatly from his teaching.

Sensei Jason Slider: Instructor
and co-owner of THE DOJO, Jason Slider has been studying the Martial
Arts since 1990. With training in the Karate, Judo, Aikido, and
Ju-Jitsu, he is a Second Degree Black Belt and certified instructor dedicated to the
advancement of the Martial Arts. Jason has received certification in
knife defense, Kali-Escrima and an Art form known as Jubi-ni mata Ryu.
He instructs Judo/Aikido classes for beginners and advanced adults.
Jason is is a Pennsylvania State Constable with with
training in law enforcement and public safety including an
Associates Degree in Safety and Security Administration, Certification
in Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB), OCAT/MEB
Certification, and Firearms Certification.
Sensei Scott Snyder:
Scott Snyder, a Second Degree Black Belt instructor, is dedicated to furthering the study
of true Martial Arts. Before coming to THE DOJO, Scott studied a form
of Kung Fu called Chi Lin Chuan Fa. Scott instructs beginner through advanced adults and
assists with other classes as needed.
